Derek McMillan

Chief Executive – Retirement Living

Derek joined Australian Unity in 1999 and held a number of executive positions before being appointed to head the Retirement Living business in 2005. Prior to joining Australian Unity, Derek was an Executive with Pivot Limited (now Incitec-Pivot) from 1996 to 1999 and spent 10 years with Rhone-Poulenc Rorer (now Sanofi-Aventis) in the pharmaceutical industry, including Head of the General Practice division. Derek is a Director of a number of Australian Unity subsidiaries, including Retirement Living, Health and Personal Financial Services and is currently Vice President of the Retirement Villages Association of Australia.

John Bruzzaniti

General Manager – Development and Asset Management

John has over twenty years experience in property having held senior executive positions at Gersh Investment Partners, Investa Property Group, AXA and Silverton Limited. His professional qualifications including a Masters Degree in Engineering, Masters Degree in Business Administration and Graduate Diploma in Project Management. John has been a Director of a number of private companies and is actively involved with the Australian Institute of Company Directors. John is an Associate of the Australian Property Institute, a Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and a Chartered Professional Engineer.

Robert Putamorsi

General Manager – Commercial

Robert has been with the Australian Unity Group since 1995 and General Manager - Commercial of Retirement Living since 2006. Robert has led the acquisition of established villages and played a pivotal role in funding the portfolio’s growth. Prior to this Robert held several senior finance roles, most recently as Manager of Financial Development in Australian Unity’s Group Finance team, working on a number of strategic projects including the Grand United merger. Robert was also the Group Financial Controller for the Australian Unity Group from 2000 to 2003.

Janene Eagleton

General Manager – Client Services

Janene joined Australian Unity having worked as the Executive Director of Strategy and Development at Catholic Healthcare. She also held the position of Regional Director, Western Sydney, which included responsibility for Hawksbury District Health Service and a number of RACF and RV sites. Prior to joining Catholic Healthcare, Janene was Director of Hospital Services at St Vincent's Private Hospital - Sydney. Janene comes to this role well qualified, holding a Bachelor of Health Administration and an MBA and she is currently a member of the RVA (NSW) Committee and a Board Director for COTA (NSW) and ACAA (NSW).

Matt Hosking

Head of Finance and Reporting

Matt has been with Retirement Living since 2008. With over 20 years experience with the Australian Unity Group and a Bachelor of Business specialising in Accounting and Management Systems, Matt has previously held senior finance roles in various industry sectors including general insurance, funds management and private health insurance.

Prior to his current role, Matt held the position of Group Reporting Manager consolidating the Australian Unity Group’s results from 2002 through 2008.
